Obsessive-compulsive disorder

OCD is an Anxiety Disorder.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder is indicated by intrusive, anxious, thoughts and fears (such as fear of germs) and ritualistic behaviors performed to alleviate them (such as handwashing).

Obsessive-compulsive disorder is an anxiety disorder characterized by an inability to resist or stop continuous, abnormal thoughts or fears combined with ritualistic, repetitive and involuntary defense behavior.

WebMd reports OCD as the following:

"Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a type of mental illness that causes repeated unwanted thoughts. To get rid of the thoughts, a person does the same tasks over and over. For example, you may fear that everything you touch has germs on it. So to ease that fear, you wash your hands over and over again."
