I have taken custody of my 8-year old god-daughter who was exposed to alcohol and drugs during pregnancy. She was then subjected to poor parenting as well as abuse and neglect. When she first came to live with me one year ago her behavior was excellent. About 6-months later (after the final court order of custody), things began to go downhill. She is currently in a residential treatment because she tried to cut her cats ear off and start a fire in her room. I really hope that this treatment center will begin to bring her back to where she was when she first came to live with me.
