We adopted 3 siblings, two boys and a girl after 18 months of foster care. We have always had behavior problems with the oldest boy, 4 at the time of placement, now almost 13, but most of the time were able to handle it ourselves. Looking back, I wish we had gotten help earlier. It took a few months of visits for our psychologist to name RAD. He admits to knowing very little about it, and we are both commited to finding out all we can to help my son. There seems to be a lot of answers to why a child has RAD, just not a lot of what to do about it! We would love any help we can get.
